Financing the Naturarena Rotsee

The total costs for all four sub-projects (1 finish tower, 2 rowing centre, 3 environment, 4 movable rowing infrastructure) amounted to CHF 16 million. The renovation was financed as part of a public-private partnership. Around CHF 13.5 million was provided by the federal government, the canton and the city of Lucerne, as well as the municipality of Ebikon. CHF 2.5 million had to be contributed by the private sector.

Public figures on the patronage committee expressed their confidence in the Rotsee Nature Arena.

The LuzernPlus association of municipalities took on the coordination between the various private stakeholders and the public sector for the Naturarena Rotsee project and ensured cross-municipal cooperation. Public sector

On the public sector side, the federal government (as part of NASAK 4), the canton and city of Lucerne and the municipality of Ebikon contributed a total of CHF 13.5 million.
